The tiny little silk micro stitches are fabulous, alive with lots of florals that include roses, as well as wide variety of assorted flowers, a cluster of fruit and greenery. The workmanship is ultra fine, implementing approx. 42 stitches to the inch or a bit more than 1600 stitches to the square inch. I am always in awe of this type of hand work. The colors are as vivid and as diverse as you would hope for. Every color in the spectrum is well presented in a full floral bouquet and intricate scrolling designs to the outer border. There is not a bit of fading to the petit point, in fact, other than an overall variegated vintage look to the ecru background tone, this purse is in excellent, well preserved condition. I find no loss of stitches, snags, wears or tears anywhere on the purse. I did professionally clean this purse, it now carries only a scent of freshness. This micro petit point purse is very worthy of consideration, as it has an eye-catching fruit and floral theme and is simply beautiful.   This close-up photo shows a small cluster of fruit at the bottom of the arrangement, it includes a bunch of grapes, and perhaps apples and cherries. The center arena is decorated with an outstanding intricate border of acanthus leaves with a black background to the farthest edge. The two tone frame is a classic in Austrian workmanship with it's overlaid silver toned etched band atop a shining gold tone backdrop. The clasp is a stunning work of art, a little larger than usually found, with an elaborate display of pierced florals and leaves. I must show you lots of photos of this purse so you can see how truly deserving it is. The detailing is exquisite, this antique petit point purse has a lot of charm and character. The purse is secure to the frame at all points, as it should be, and opens and closes properly. The illustration is the same on each side of the purse, overall this handbag is a very pretty example.  
The bottom and sides of this purse have a matching display of Art Nouveau styled acanthus leaves that add a special touch of elegance to this purse. The gold tone frame is still nice and bright, really doesn't even show signs of aging and it has a delicate etched design on all sides, including the interior. This purse will arrive with accessories, a beveled make-up mirror and an Austrian ladies powder compact. The compact has a good clear mirror, the powder screen and make-up applicator. The interior has been used but I cleaned it thoroughly, as best as possible. The interior of the edge of the compact is stamped Austria, so there is no debating where this compact was made.
The purse's interior is lined in a beautiful rich toned satin, their are 2 pockets and I see no real signs of usage, stains or abuse. The purse has a wonderful carry chain handle that drops the purse by 5 inches. This micro petit point evening handbag measures 8 inches across the bottom, 5¼ inches from the top of the clasp to the bottom and the side has ¾ of an inch of depth. Except for the overall vintage look of the background tone on this purse, there are little to no signs of it's age. The purse and lining are nice and clean with no tearing or structural problems.
