 The hand knitted beading was achieved with a small to medium bead, not a micro bead. These 2 photos show you each side of the purse and the unusual differences in the use of color. One side being the rising sun and the other side being the setting sun, where pink is usually more predominant, as the saying goes, "pink at night sailor's delight". The use of multi blues and greens gives this purse a sense that nature is flourishing and water is flowing. Clearly the detail is illustrative of a fine water color or painting. This purse has been cleaned, it is now fresh and bright. It is also very obvious that this purse has been well cared for. 
The frame was polished when the purse was cleaned, removing well over 80 years of tarnish. The silver is embossed with a running leafy and floral vine-like design, very appropriate for the purse. The bottom is finished off with a half-circle, full row of looped fringes, all seeming secure and intact. The interior was lacking it's lining, so I re-lined in a bluish silk, however, in some lighting, the color changes to lavender. I trimmed the edge in a lovely embroidered floral lace, adding the colors of the exterior of the purse to the interior. This wonderful treasure measures 7 inches across the frame, 11 inches from the top of the clasp to the bottom of the fringes, fringe hangs 1¼ inches and the double link chain handle drops 6½ inches. It's a terrific piece to add to your purse collection, give as a gift or carry to that special event. It is in excellent condition, wee if any bead loss, nothing seen or apparent. I love it.
