Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Jesus Christ forgave you.  Eph. 4:32

Kindness is a friendly attitude towards others.  Natural kindness is observed when a person sees another in need and attempts to help.  Acquired kindness comes through faith in God and the desire to be more Christ-like or Godly in character.  Kindness can be developed by making the practice of kindness rule over your life.  Through the Holy Spirit of God, kindness can be manifested.  God will weave kindness into your nature if you desire it.  We should all strive towards divine kindness, just as God has great kindness; ready to pardon, gracious, merciful, slow to anger and never abandoning us.

Compassion is suffering with another.  God is full of compassion toward us, forgiving our sins and remembering that we are only human.  Because the Lord's compassion for us never stops, His mercies have kept us from destruction.  Christ's compassion toward the weary, the tempted, the helpless, the ignorant, the sorrowful and sinners made a huge difference in their lives.  Be compassionate.

Forgiveness is an act of pardoning.  It is the very basis of God's nature.  He is not only ready to forgive but once we ask Him to, He remembers our transgressions no more.  God's measure of forgiveness is unlimited.  When Jesus was on the cross he said, "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do."  Christ's death at the cross paid the debt for our sins so we can be reconciled with God in heaven.  Forgiveness unites broken relationships when we hurt one another. Those who have much to be forgiven, will forgive much.

Thank you and God Bless you, Carol
