For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, so that who ever believed in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 Jesus Christ came to show us the glory and mercies of His Father and to tell us the good news of God's redemptive plan for us. God wants us to know we can spend eternity with Him by believing and following His Son, Jesus. God wants the world reunited with Him since our sins have separated us from Him. Christ came to pay the debt for our sins through the shedding of His blood. Where there is sin, there is death, this is God's design for justice. God's love is everlasting and it cannot be measured. He loves us so much, He doesn't even want us to suffer for the things we do wrong. He intends for us to avoid eternal suffering merely by believing in Jesus. He allows for a fresh start, through repentance and change. God chose us to be His children before the world was even created. God showed His love for us, in such a way, that Christ died for us while we were yet sinners, so we could be united with the Lord forever and have eternal life with Him. By God's grace and in accordance with His will, we are saved from our sins by the grace of God through our faith in Jesus Christ. God has made known to us the mystery of His will through the Bible. His love for us provides for our free will to choose, to believe, to desire to know Him and to love Him. Even though it is God that loved us first, chooses us and draws us to Him, we choose whether we want to spend eternity with or without Him. God does not condemn anyone to hell, we choose that path for ourselves. Jesus taught us about compassion, forgiveness, kindness, patience but most of all, unconditional love. As a perfect example, He lived a life of complete obedience to the will of God. God's provision in Christ sets us free from the eternal punishment of sin. It was God's unconditional love for us and Jesus' unfailing obedience to the Father that led Him to the cross. God put us before the suffering of His only Son and Jesus cared for us above all things. Knowing the love of Christ surpasses all understanding and fills me with the fullness of God. Jesus gave Himself out of a personal love for me so that not even death will separate me from God's love. The life which I now live is by faith in Jesus, through the divine workings of grace. I am thankful for God's love and for His choice to draw a sinner like me onto Himself. I pray that you accept God's plan for you, that you prepare your heart for the day He may call you to have faith in His Son, His promises and His everlasting glory and splendor. If you long to know the unconditional love of God, then seek Him out swiftly and He will make Himself known to you, for tomorrow is promised to nobody. Sincerely in Christ, Carol
