As a result, it is common to find dresser sets with pieces from different countries. This set is no exception when it comes to beauty and elegance. This vanity tray is more unusual, in that it has many angles or is 12 sided. The backside carries the MZ Austria mark, Moritz Zdekauer of Altrohlau and Bohemia. This mark is found on porcelains made between 1884 and 1909 but I believe this set was made shortly after the turn of the century, the shape of the tray shows the onset of the Art Deco era. You will find the artwork to be totally appealing and well trimmed in gold. The color palette is gorgeous, my photos show what you should expect. The apple blooms appear in pink and there are a lot of shadings on these pieces to include pink coral, pale yellow, blue and green, all on a cream background. This tray measures a generous 14 by 9 inches. The set is accompanied by a rather robust dresser box. The box carries the Austrian urn W mark from H. Wehinger & CO, made hard paste porcelains between 1890 and 1928 when the factory closed. It's also is generous in size, measuring 4¼ in height and bulges to 4½ in width. As you can see, this piece is footed and lavished in gold gilt, of which there is some age appropriate wear, mostly on the handle. I am happy that the artist was thoughtful to include their initials among the artwork on each piece and to include a sweet little pin tray, another useful vanity accessory. The pin tray has the MZ Austrian mark and continues to express the early Art Deco shape and has little angled cut-out sides. It measures 6⅜ in length by 3¾ in width and is a charming little tray. I believe my photos show you how wonderful this set really is. The 3 piece set suffers from no damage, crack or chip, just a little occasional gold wear, nothing too naughty. In the last photo, you will see a hair receiver, it is a matching piece to the set but it has a hairline in it so I am offering it as a free piece and will include it, if you wish. The piece is fully functional but I never charge for damaged items and no consideration was given to it when I priced the set. Thank you for considering this very pretty antique porcelain vanity dresser set. Item 9-715 C Sold, sorry no longer available Place Order via Email We Have More Limoges Dresser Sets & Vanity Pieces
