Very Early Antique Haviland Vanity Tray, 1800's

<<<< Back to Vanity Items and Porcelain Dresser Pieces

This charming, hand painted, antique porcelain dresser tray comes from the Charles Field Haviland Factory of Limoges, France.

This tray is delicately decorated with dainty sprays of blue forget-me-nots and green leaves edged in soft brown tones.

The outer edge of the tray has a lot of style and design with swirls and ruffles, all splashed and drippy in gold gilt highlights. The forget-me-nots are soft and have slight yellow dotted centers. This tray has a snowy white background and is perfect for your assortment of perfume bottles. The artwork is intact and the gold gilt shows very little wear. My photos are true and detail the tray beautifully.

The backside carries a nice early Charles Field Haviland mark and dates this tray to between 1870 and 1882, how absolutely wonderful to find a tray with this age and in such remarkable condition. This treasure also offers good size, measuring 12 & 1/2 in length by 8 & 3/4 in width, it is damage free, with a soft and feminine personality. Don't wait too long to scoop this tray up, the 1800's pieces rarely come along in this condition. Let me know and I'll put it aside just for you, you'll enjoy it for decades.
